Sri Hanuman Jayanthi Celebrations

On Saturday morning over the long Easter weekend this year, 147 devotees observed the birthday celebration of Sri Hanuman, the greatest devotee known to mankind, at the Sandown High School.
This warm and positive response of devotees from many of the neighbouring centres in the Johannesburg Region was very well received.

The spontaneous coming together of all these various centres bore testament to the love and unity principle that the Sathya Sai International Organisation of South Africa aims to build in 2018 and beyond. What better occasion to solidify unity amongst the devotees as was reflected upon the example of true devotion and selfless service as portrayed by Sri Hanuman!

The offering of devotional songs in praise of Him and His relationship with Lord Rama gave a depth of understanding on how we are to conduct ourselves as messengers and love instruments of our own Divine Master, Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. A light breakfast was served after the programme.

The devotees left with a deep sense of gratitude to Dear Swami for this morning programme which was so spiritually uplifting and vibrant to set some new goals and to emulate the humble selfless devotion of Sri Hanuman.

"The main objective of the Sathya Sai Organization ... is to help you recognize the divinity inherent in you. So, your duty is to emphasize the One, to experience the One in all you do or speak. Do not give importance to differences of religion, sect, status, or color. Have the feeling of one-ness permeate all your acts. Only those who do so have a place in this Organization; the rest can withdraw."
